Plant selection
For each order we choose, from the BRC-certified plants in Mahuva, the one whose line, hygiene tier and current raw material fit your specification - a powder order and an extra-low-bacterial order do not go to the same plant.
About KlarHarvest
KlarHarvest, a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat: founded 2025 in Bhavnagar, 60 km from Mahuva's 120+ plants. Who we are, how we work, what we promise.
Our story
KLAR · CLEAR · EVERY LAYER VISIBLE
A large share of the dehydrated onions processed anywhere in the world grows in Gujarat and is dried in Mahuva. On the way to the buyer they pass through intermediaries who do not change the product - only the price. What the middle layer really sells is trust: a familiar address, a familiar invoice, peace of mind. The premium a European trader adds to Indian dehydrated onion is not paid for the product; it is paid for confidence. A dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat can supply that confidence too, if it documents instead of promises.
We founded KlarHarvest, a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat, to build that trust differently: not through an address in between, but through transparency at the source.
KlarHarvest was founded in 2025 in Bhavnagar, Gujarat - 60 km from Mahuva, the center of Indian onion dehydration with more than 120 plants. A dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat sits where the product is made, not where it is resold. KlarHarvest is the brand of KlarHarvest Foods Pvt. Ltd., Bhavnagar. Before KlarHarvest: 12 years (since 2014) as a software developer working with European and international clients. That background sets our standard for communication, documentation and deadlines - and it is why German-speaking buyers get a site written in German at klarharvest.com/de rather than a translated one. The company is small by design: one founder who answers, a shortlist of plants, one godown, and a procedure that is the same for every order - the way a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat should start.
We are a merchant exporter - a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat that does not own a dehydration plant, and we say so openly. Our work: selecting the right plants (BRC-certified only), supervising every production run, testing every lot, documenting every shipment - and being reachable in your time zone, in English and German.
Numbers
The facts a buyer can check, in place of adjectives: when and where we were founded, how far the office is from Mahuva and how many plants dry there, how much fresh onion a kilo of dried takes, how fast a written quote comes and how small a first order can be.

Why here
The onion that ends up as flakes in a German soup mix or powder in a Gulf seasoning blend grows within a few hours' drive of our office. The Bhavnagar-Mahuva belt has the white onion varieties bred for drying, the dry post-harvest weather that lets the bulbs cure in the field, and the plants that turned a farming district into the world's largest cluster of onion dehydration. Pipavav, the port most of that product sails from, is 90 minutes from the plants. A dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat does not have to explain the supply chain from a distance; we drive to it.
That proximity is the whole point of the company. A trader in Europe sees a container when it arrives. We see the raw onion at the yard, the drying line, the packing room and the container being stuffed, and we can put you in front of any of them on a video call the same day. Being here is not a marketing line; it is the reason the lot record exists.
The region

What we do
A merchant exporter that owns no plant has one job: to make the plant's product safe to buy from a distance. Ours breaks into six pieces of work, and every one produces something you can see:
For each order we choose, from the BRC-certified plants in Mahuva, the one whose line, hygiene tier and current raw material fit your specification - a powder order and an extra-low-bacterial order do not go to the same plant.
Somebody from KlarHarvest is at the plant during your run. Raw intake, drying, sorting and packing are photographed with the lot code, and the plant's line readings are shared as they are taken.
A composite sample of every lot goes to a NABL-accredited laboratory; the certificate of analysis reaches you before the container is booked, and the lot does not move until you release it.
Sealed bags from the plant are labelled with brand, lot and QR code at our premises in Bhavnagar GIDC and stuffed into the container under camera. Bags are never opened outside the plant.
Invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, phytosanitary and health certificates, the certificate of analysis and the bill of lading go to you and your broker as drafts first.
Every photograph, reading, document and the loading video sit in the client portal under your order - not in one person's chat history.
None of this is unusual for a good exporter to do; what is unusual is doing all of it on every order and showing it. That is what a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat can offer that an address in between cannot.
Partner plants
The plant decides the quality; we decide the plant. There are more than 120 dehydration units in the Mahuva region, and they are not alike. Our shortlist is built on four gates and a working relationship:
The Global Standard for Food Safety, verified from the certificate and the last audit report, not from a logo on a website. No certificate, no order - no exceptions for price.
The plant has shipped to European buyers before and has seen an IFS or BRCGS supplier questionnaire. A dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat that sends a first-time plant's product to a first-time buyer is asking for two surprises at once.
A validated steam or heat step for the Low and Extra Low Bacterial tiers, swab records in the packing room, metal detection on the line.
Plain bags supplied by us, filled and sealed on the plant's line, a raw-material and packing log per lot, no mixing of white and red runs.
Our presence at the run, the plant's QC readings shared as taken, a live video call from the packing line when a buyer asks for one. A plant that does not want to be watched is not on the list.
We pay the plants on time and we do not play them against each other on every order; a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat is only as good as the relationships behind the certificates. In return we get the production slots and the attention that a one-off buyer never gets.
How we work
"Transparent" is an easy word. These are the specific things a buyer of KlarHarvest gets without asking, on every order, and they are the operating procedure of a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat that wants to be checked:
Specification sheet, price with the Incoterm and port, packing, lead time, payment terms and a validity date - in one PDF.
The raw-onion price is fixed with the plant the same day; the confirmation price does not move afterwards.
Four sets per lot, dated, with the lot code; a call from the packing line on request.
A NABL certificate of analysis for your release, plus a pre-shipment sample of the same lot by courier.
The container inspected, stuffed and e-sealed at our premises, on video.
Your broker sees them while a correction still costs nothing.
Scan it and the lot record opens - report, dates, plant region, loading documentation.
If your goods-in inspection disagrees with our certificate, the same material goes back to the lab.
If something goes wrong, you hear it from us first, with the corrective action - a delayed sailing, a colour reading drifting, a plant slot moving. Bad news early is part of the procedure too, and it is written into the order record rather than mentioned on a call, so that a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat and a buyer in Hamburg are reading the same page when a decision has to be made.
Buyers
The buyers a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat like us fits best are the ones who need the document trail as much as the product:
Soup, sauce, ready-meal, canned and bakery producers who dose dehydrated onion into a recipe and answer to a quality system of their own.
Blenders who need a consistent colour, cut and hygiene tier, often Low or Extra Low Bacterial for dry blends that are not cooked again.
Trading companies in Europe, the Gulf and Southeast Asia who resell to processors and want a supplier that answers their customers' audit questions with documents.
Toppings, fillings and coatings where flakes have to look right and stay whole.
HoReCa distributors who need private-label packs, small drops and mixed pallets rather than a full container of one cut.
Buyers who take our fresh white, red and pink onion in season and want the same exporter for the dehydrated programme.
Small and mid-size buyers are welcome; one pallet in a consolidated container is a normal first order, not an exception we tolerate. The large Mahuva exporters are built for full-container programmes and price accordingly; a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat that answers a two-pallet inquiry within one business day, with the full lot record, is the gap we set out to fill.
Markets
From Pipavav a container reaches Jebel Ali in about two weeks, Singapore in two to three, Hamburg, Rotterdam and Antwerp in four to five, Felixstowe in four to five, New York and Savannah in four to five, Sydney and Auckland in four to six. KlarHarvest is not built for one country: Germany, the largest importer of dried onion in the world, and the Netherlands are the markets we know best, but a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat ships wherever the paperwork is understood. Each market has its own page on this site with the import rules, duty, ports and documents for that destination.
Pipavav, the port we load at, handles close to half of India's dried-onion exports, which is why a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat has sailings to every major destination every week and does not depend on one shipping line. For markets where a container is too much, the same corridor carries consolidated LCL cargo; for markets with special document sets - the United States with FDA prior notice, the Gulf with halal and conformity certificates, Australia with biosecurity conditions - the quotation states what is needed before you order, not at the port.
Straight answer
Honesty about a young company is part of the offer. What we can promise: BRC-certified sourcing on every lot, a NABL certificate before loading, the loading video, the lot record, a reply within one business day and a price that does not move after the order. What we cannot promise yet: our own registration numbers - IEC, FSSAI and APEDA RCMC - are in process and are published on the quality page the day they are issued; organic dehydrated onion is not in the programme; we do not quote below the price a plant has locked, whatever a competitor's price list says. A dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat that has been trading for thirty years can point at its history; we point at the procedure and at every lot record we produce, and let the second and third order be the reference.
The plan
KlarHarvest was founded in 2025, and this is where the company stands and where it is going, stated so a buyer can weigh it:
Merchant export from the Indian entity; partner plants shortlisted in Mahuva; the godown in Bhavnagar GIDC for labelling and container stuffing; registrations in process; this site in English for every market, and a German-language version at klarharvest.com/de.
Samples, one-pallet and mixed-pallet LCL orders, and full containers to Europe, the Gulf and Southeast Asia - each with the full lot record, because the record is the product. Whatever the size, the same NABL certificate before loading, the same loading video and the same documents; the delivered lots are the reference we point to.
Regional contacts in our main export markets, and a local presence where it helps buyers, so that invoicing and support sit in the buyer's time zone. Not before - a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat should earn that step with delivered containers, not announce it.
Owning a plant. Selection and supervision across plants is the strength; a plant of our own would tie every order to one machine park. The plant decides the quality; we decide the plant: a powder order and an extra-low-bacterial order do not go to the same one, and we say openly that we own none.
FAQ
What buyers ask about the company before the first order. Anything not covered here, send us the question - you have an answer within one business day.
A merchant exporter - a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat that does not own a dehydration plant and says so. We select the plant per order from the BRC-certified units in Mahuva, supervise the run, test the lot independently, and label and load at our own premises.
Bhavnagar, Gujarat, 60 km from Mahuva; the godown is in Bhavnagar GIDC - a dehydrated onion exporter in Gujarat is an hour from the plants, not a flight away. Visits to the office, the godown and the partner plants are welcome by appointment; a live video call from the packing line is the alternative when a flight is not practical.
The company was founded in 2025; the founder's professional history is twelve years of work with European and international clients in software, since 2014. We do not claim a trading history we do not have - the lot record on every order is the reference we offer instead.
Our own registrations - IEC, FSSAI and APEDA RCMC - are in process and are published on the quality page the day each number is issued. The plants we source from hold BRC certification; every lot is tested by a NABL-accredited laboratory. We do not print a certificate before it exists.
The product is the same onion from the same belt; what changes is who documents it and what it costs. A trader adds an address and a margin; we add the lot record - photographs, readings, the certificate before loading, the loading video - and the price of the source. If you need stock in Europe today, a trader is the right call; if you buy programmes, the source is.
Yes. One pallet in a consolidated container is a normal first order; mixed pallets across cuts and colours are standard. The per-kilogram freight is higher for LCL and the quotation shows it.
English for all markets; Gujarati and Hindi on the ground in Mahuva; German at klarharvest.com/de, and regional contacts for other markets as they are appointed. Quotations and documents are in English.
Not today. Thirteen products, one crop: dehydrated white and red onion in five cuts, and fresh white, red and pink onion. If your programme has adjacent needs, ask - the belt we work in produces more than onion and we will say honestly what we can and cannot source.
On the raw-onion market of the week and the plant's locked price for your lot, plus our work and, for CIF, the freight as a pass-through. Quotations are valid seven to ten days because the market moves; the price is fixed with the plant the day you confirm.
The founder, on e-mail, WhatsApp and phone - within one business day for an inquiry, and the same working day for a question about a running order. The contact page lists the e-mail, WhatsApp and phone; regional contacts are added once appointed.
